Rodrigo Alcocer was born in Acapulco, Mexico. Being an international touristic destination, Rodrigo got involved with hospitality since an early age, doing professional practices as a pastry cook. Later he studied gastronomy at the Culinary Institute of Mexico in Puebla.
His passion for international cuisine helped him develop as Pastry Chef in renowned hotels in different world-class destinations, such as Nikko in The United Emirates, The Ritz Carlton in Qatar and Voyage Hotels in Turkey. During those years out of his country, the need of exploring his taste for Mexican Cuisine grew on Rodrigo, until he decided to come back to Mexico and work in another world-class destination, Riviera Maya, where every day he has the opportunity to create sweet experiences with local flavors at Vidanta Hotel and Jóya by Cirque Du Soleil.
